Issues: Immigration

Our nation has always been a melting pot and will continue to be one. My own maternal great-grandfather immigrated from Tahiti at the turn of the 20th Century. My wife is a foreign national. Along with my personal belief I will never be against immigration in America; instead I am opposed to policies that allow for the harboring of illegal immigrants in our nation. I am for allowing citizenship to anyone born in the United States; for they have not committed a crime. At the same time I would support only benefits to children born in the United States to illegal immigrants. There should be laws in place that protect the children while at the same time enforcing immigration laws on the parents. As your Senator I will:

Provide funding to help better secure our borders

Support citizenship to all individuals born in the United States

Oppose protection of illegal immigrants
